Jimmy Dale Dovers was born on the 25th of May, 1941 in Gray Ridge, Missouri to the late Harvey and Marie Purcell Dovers. The family moved to Sikeston in 1943 where Jimmy was a Sikeston Bulldog. He entered the military in 1959 and loved to serve his country. Recently, he went back to visit the place where he was stationed in Germany.
Jimmy worked at Hart’s bakery before moving to Austin, Texas around 1962 where he owned and operated his own business; he was a great salesman and loved his work. He was a little league coach, a member of the Lion’s Club and a life-long bowler.
Jimmy married Debra Slezak on the 16th of June, 2003; she resides today in Bastrop, Texas.
Jimmy was reliable; in stressful situations, he always came through. Additionally, he was the life of the party with his jokes and humor. Jimmy Dale Dovers passed away on the 23rd of July, 2022 at St. David’s Hospital in Austin Texas. He will be remembered fondly by numerous friends and relatives.
Jimmy is survived by the following family; all will miss him dearly.
