In Loving Remembrance of

Debra Ann Porter

On Sunday November 20, 2022, Debra gained her wings and was called home to be with our heavenly father. Debra was born in Austin, Texas on July 19, 1957 to Alvin Porter and Mollie J. Brown Porter.  Debra was the third child of five girls. Debra attended Rosewood Elementary, Kealing Junior High, and graduated from Johnston High school class of 1976. And also attended Austin Community College.

Debra was a real homemaker. She made a business for herself in 1979; working over 28 years in domestic homemaking; cleaning homes, taking care of many households in the Mt. Bonnell and Westlake hills area. In 1980 She titled herself as a "Household Technician". She loved a clean home, and took much pride in her work. In 2008 she went to work for Broadwing Communications as Administrative Assistant. And in 2011 she was employed with AMPCO Parking at Austin Bergstrom International Airport for over seven years until her health failed.

Debra loved God. She worship his name early in her life. As a young adult she professed her trust in Christ; and accepted him as her lord and savior and was baptized. She was a member of McKinney Heights Church of God In Christ for many years. Before becoming a member of Promise Land Church of Austin, Texas.

Debra's children were her love buttons, nick naming each of them. She loved her family and enjoyed spending family time together. She was gifted in art, drawing, baking homemade rolls, crocheting as well as interior decorating.  She enjoyed watching cooking shows, gardening and plants. Manicuring her own lawn was her therapeutic time. But most of all she really enjoyed loving her children and grandchildren. Even being a quiet gentle introvert, she knew how to make you feel special. She also had a funny side with a sense of humor.  Debra's favorite holiday was Christmas, being able to celebrate the birth of Christ brought her so much joy. She took pleasure in playing Christmas music, and decorating during this time, she enjoyed collecting many nutcrackers of all sizes.

Debra our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend; is home resting.  Even though her earthly journey is complete; she will forever be in our heart and her spirit lives on inside us.

Debra was preceded in death by her mother, father, and three siblings -Waymon Clark, Cherrie A. Porter, Brenda G. Porter. She leaves to cherish her precious memories; her three children; Maurice Porter; Denise Billingsley; Charissa Billingsley. Her two grandson's JacQuez Paredes and Elijah Brooks and two great grandson's. Her sister's- Gloria Porter Mason, Hope Porter Davis, Starla W.
